Centrally located to Burlington and Waterbury, Bolton Valley is an ideal place to stay while exploring the natural beauty of northern Vermont. There are several worthwhile attractions within a half hour drive of Bolton Valley such as the Ben and Jerry's Factory, Shelburne Museum, Vermont Teddy Bear Factory and beautiful Lake Champlain. Best of all, when you are done exploring you can retreat to Bolton Valley for a comfortable evening in the cool mountain air.
We host several weddings throughout the summer at The Ponds, a beautiful Adirondack style venue set on a spring-fed mountain pond overlooking Camel's Hump and the Green Mountains. You will also see the Michelin Driving school in full operation around the mountain in the summer, conducing skid testing in the Timberline parking lot and off road testing on the mountain.
With Bolton Valley's 5000 acres of pristine wilderness hikers are never at a loss for a good trail. Whether you explore the trails on the alpine resort or hike on our narrow backcountry trails; good views and a peaceful time in the woods is easy to find. The famous state-long Long Trail travels the ridge line atop our backcountry trails and a stop at Harrington's View is a must for an afternoon lunch.

The Burlington Discover Jazz Festival celebrates its 27th year with the sounds of jazz, blues, funk and Latin music. For ten days, over 40,000 revelers enjoy a unique mix of concerts, dances, jams, street parties, cruises on Lake Champlain and more.
6/12-13 - Free State Park Days
Free day use entry into all Vermont State Parks on the Weekend of June 12-13. Free free fishing statewide on Saturday.
6/24-27 - Vermont Quilt Festival
Like an ongoing quilt project, Vermont Quilt Festival has evolved over the years to become an admirable creation.
6/28-30 - Circus Smirkus 2010 Tour
Six "Big Top" shows at the Champlain Valley Exposition, June 28-30, 2010. Two shows daily, 12 noon & 6:30 pm.
7/16-17 - The Vermont Brewer's Festival
The Vermont Brewer's Festival is a New England tradition in its 18th Year. Taste craft brews produced by more than 20 of the finest microbreweries and brewpubs in Vermont and New England. The festival's tented village offers magnificent views of Lake Champlain and the Adirondack Mountains. Located at Burlington's Waterfront Park.

Ready...set...shop! At downtown Burlington's historic sales promotion. More than 100 stores participating on the Marketplace and Burlington Town Center (an enclosed shopping mall). Break for lunch or dinner at one of more than 80 eating and drinking establishments in our downtown.
7/30-8/1 - 27th Annual Champlain Valley Folk Festival
The Champlain Valley Folk Festival is a weekend-long celebration of diverse folk music, dance and song traditions of the Champlain Valley and beyond. Taking place at Waterfront Park in Burlington, Vermont, this family-friendly event boasts intimate concerts, workshops, crafts with valuable tradition-bearers and cutting-edge roots-based performers.
8/8 - Lake Champlain Dragon Boat Festival
Citizens Bank presents the Annual Lake Champlain Dragon Boat Festival at Waterfront Park, Burlington from 8:00 am-5:00 pm.
Teams representing local businesses, organizations and neighborhoods will compete in 41-foot Dragon boats. Watch the races, cheer on the teams and enjoy great food, entertainment, silent auction and a special tribute to Breast Cancer Survivors. Proceeds to benefit Camp Ta-Kum-Ta, a camp for kids with cancer, and Dragonheart Vermont.
8/13-15 - Lake Champlain Maritime Festival
As part of the Lake Champlain Maritime Festival, Higher Ground presents Gov't Mule on Friday 8/13 and Grace Potter & the Nocturnals on Saturday 8/14.
The Burlington Waterfront has transformed from what once was an industrial/commercial site to a beautiful and active recreational Waterfront. The Lake Champlain Maritime Festival 2010 will join with the many attractions and activities that line the Lake Champlain Burlington Waterfront to commemorate the past, present and future of Lake Champlain and Burlington.
Stroll along the shores from venue to venue; view the classic boats, long boats, canoe, kayak and Dragon boat demonstrations. Experience boat building, sample local fare, enjoy music and bring the children for hands-on exhibits that will serve to entertain, as well as educate. Take a walking or bike tour or experience a train ride.
8/28-9/6 - Champlain Valley Fair
The Champlain Valley Fair is an annual tradition in Vermont. Whatever you like in a fair - food, agriculture exhibits, top name entertainers, the midway – this fair has it. Ten days of "Summer’s Last Blast."
The fair is held at the Champlain Valley Exposition from 10am to midnight every day from August 28 - September 6.
