June 5–6 : Eastern States Cup #2 at Mount Snow
We kick off the summer of mountain bike action with our first of eight weekends of racing. Our first weekend features downhill racing action. Our downhill series this year will feature three races at Mount Snow and five at Plattekill – New York.
Look for the same great racing off Mount Snow’s Canyon Express Quad. Our first event of the season usually features a ton of mud!!! Make sure you bring many, many tear offs.
Race start order: JUNIORS, CAT3, all females, CAT2, CAT1, PRO

Stop #3 of the Eastern States Cup downhill series between Mount Snow and Plattekill. As always registration is open all day Saturday for our downhill racers. Look for a change in course and great prizes for our winners.
This race is the Vermont State Championship so be sure to come out and challenge for the title of best in Vermont!

July 12 : Kelly Clark Foundation Golf Tournament
The Kelly Clark Foundation provides today’s youth with the resources and opportunities to attend mountain schools and pursue their dreams in snowboarding. The Kelly Clark Foundation realizes the key to success starts with the opportunity to follow your dreams and we aim to give every kid the opportunity to make his or her dreams a reality.
When: July 12th (Tee off at 11am)
Where: Mount Snow Golf Course
Basic Team entry fee is $500
• This is a four-person best ball scramble with two drives taken from each team player.
• A dinner reception and awards ceremony with great prizes will be held for the competitors following the event at TC’s Family Restaurant.
1 team entry into tournament includes:
• Entry for the tournament for 4 people (one team)
• 4 tickets to dinner following the Tournament.
• One gift bag for each player
• Raffle tickets to win great prizes
• 1 team photo with Kelly Clark and her 2010 Olympic medal
July 24–25 : Mountain Bike Festival featuring Eastern States Cup #5 & Root 66 XC
The Mount Snow Mountain Bike Festival weekend features race #5 of the Eastern States Cup Downhill Series and the Root 66 Race Series. This weekend is packed with downhill and endurance racing action.
Saturday: Take the majority of the day to practice our XC and DH courses for Sunday’s races. Super D action takes place at 3:o0pm and for those who love beating on themselves the hill climb is at noon.
Sunday: XC kicks off at 9:30am with the CAT3 riders, CAT1 & pros at 11am and CAT2 at 1:30pm. The final Mount Snow race of the Eastern States Cup cranks up at 11am.
DH race start order: CAT2, CAT1, PRO, CAT3, all females
July 30 – August 7 : 3rd Annual Deerfield Valley Blueberry Festival
Berries, vintage cars, music, food and tart displays— if it’s blue, it’s probably happening in the Mount Snow area towns of Wilmington, Whitingham and Dover in late July and early August. Visitors to the Valley will find children’s activities, jam making, blueberry themed specials in the local eateries, blue music events, a blue car auto show, blueberry bake sales, blue beer, special “Blues fees” at Mount Snow’s Golf Course as well as pick your own blueberry opportunities of the event. Visitors can pick up “Passport to Blue Adventures” at the Mount Snow Valley Chamber of Commerce.

August 7-8 : Mount Snow Triathlon
A new event to Mount Snow that is uniquely ours. Women, men and teams are welcome to this beginner friendly triathlon that features a swim in Snow Lake, a 12 mile bike ride on Handle Rd and a run through the Mount Snow property.
This event has been created with the beginner tri-athlete in mind. Saturday features registration, coaching seminars and an expo. Sunday is race day followed by an awards ceremony. Click here for more information.
Pre-register online by August 4th for discounted fees, individuals $60 and teams $150.
Onsite registration on Saturday August 7th is $75 per individual and $150 per team.
August 19-22 : 93rd Annual Deerfield Valley Farmers Day Fair
The Deerfield Valley Farmers’ Day Fair, supported by the Dover Economic Development Committee, is a long standing local tradition which inspires neighborly competition, education in agriculture, wholesome entertainment, exhibits of area residents, and most importantly good clean fun! Events for 2010 include a Children’s Lawnmower Pull, Truck Pull, Ox Pull, Horse Draw/Horse Pull, Horse Show, Classic Car Show, Children’s Games including a Watermelon Seed Spitting Contest, Scavenger Hunt, Country Jam Session, Cattle Show, Children’s Barnyard/Petting Farm, Farmer for A Day, Pee Wee Midway, Pie Eating Contest, Youth and Adult Exhibits, Agricultural Demonstrations, and so much more! September 4–5 : 16th Annual Brewers Festival
Our annual tribute to summer and its finest elixir – beer! The Mount Snow Brewers Festival has become famous with great beer, great music, huge crowds, and good times. This year will be no different as we expect to host well over 20 breweries.
All paid 21+ adult entries receive a one of a kind souvenir pint glass and a free beer on Mount Snow. Tokens can be purchased for $2 after that and are good for an 8 oz sample of well over 60 different kinds of brews including stouts, ales, hefeweizens, porters, and for you non-beer lovers cider.

September 11 : Taste of the Deerfield Valley
Taste the best of the best at the 5th annual Taste of the Deerfield Valley slated for Saturday, September 11 from 9am-5pm where more than a dozen restaurants will gather at the base of Mount Snow in West Dover, Vermont. Participants will have the opportunity to taste specialty items from each of the restaurants and vote for their favorite taste. Three-time World BBQ Champion and star of TLC’s BBQ Pitmasters, Myron Mixon, will be joining this year’s event demonstrating his BBQ skills with a private lesson and dinner on Friday night and a BBQ demonstration on Saturday.
Chef Robert Barral, owner of Café Provincial and former New England Culinary Institute executive chef and the Junior Iron Chefs will start the day with a special demonstration on Saturday morning. This will be followed by Myron Mixon’s cooking demonstration and the feature event with ‘tastes’ from over a dozen restaurants, live music, craft show, kids activities and the return of the popular Art on the Mountain juried art show. A portion of the proceeds will go to the Junior Iron Chef program. The Deerfield Valley Food Pantry will be on-hand accepting food donations.
The following day, Sunday, September 12, the Deerfield Valley Community Cares is organizing the Best Dam Walk —a great way to walk off any indulging at the Taste. There are several walks available. The one-way walk is the most appropriate for families ant will begin at 10am. Each entering adult will be asked to have $50 worth of sponsors (five people at $10 each or any other combination) and each child under 12 will be asked to have $10 worth of sponsors. The walk will be held rain or shine.
Taste of the Deerfield Valley is hosted by Celebrate the Valley, Mount Snow and the Town of Dover and sponsored by the Dover Economic Development Committee and g. Housen. Tickets for the Taste are $15 for adults, $5 for children age 7-12, and free for children 6 and under. Cooking demonstration tickets are additional. September 24–26 : 3rd Annual Vermont Life Wine & Harvest Festival
From gourmet cheese and wine to specialty items crafted by local artisans, come celebrate the rich uniqueness, quality and ingenuity of Vermont producers at the third annual Vermont Life Wine and Harvest Festival in the Mount Snow Valley.
The Festival, held during the last weekend of September (Sept. 24-26), showcases Vermont wineries & cheese makers, food vendors, local crafters & artists, and features a number of wine pairing events. It is one of the Vermont Chamber of Commerce’s picks as a Top 10 Fall Event for 2010.
The 2010 weekend long festival will feature additional authentic Vermont experiences including a historic downtown Wilmington welcome reception, Indigenous Vermonter breakfasts, a series of wine pairing dinners at the finest eateries in the area and a series of Vermont chef demonstrations. Set in the backdrop of the world renowned Vermont fall foliage; attendees will discover, savor and enjoy Vermont vintners, small specialty food producers, painters, publishers, cheese makers, potters, jewelers, chefs, photographers and farmers.

October 2–3 : 24th International Timeline Event
The 24th Annual International Time Line Event provides a wonderful opportunity to look at the progression of history from Ancient Rome through the conflicts of the 20th century. Demonstrations of weapons from the sword to the machine gun and displays of life in camp and on the home fronts of history are featured. October 9–10 : Oktoberfest & Craft Show
Our 13th annual fall festival & celebration of German Music, Beer, Food & Games. This fun family event features kids activities including face painting, pumpkin painting, arts & crafts, a hay pile and the famous “schnitzel toss.”
Adults have games too including the Keg Toss, Horseshoe Tournament, Stein Holding and more! Again our favorite New England Breweries will be back with their fall line ups to accompany the German Style beers.
