ABOUT TATER HILL GOLF CLUB

Just a short drive away from Okemo Valley Golf Club, Tater Hill Golf Club is a historic, engaging championship course in the heart of southern Vermont. With new tee boxes, an enhanced course maintenance program and six greens redesigned in 2005, Tater Hill is just as challenging as it is beautiful.

Course Layout: Birch-lined fairways, stone walls, scenic mountain vistas and breathtaking flower gardens serve as the dramatic backdrop for the par 71, 18-hole course layout. Measuring 6,400 yards in length, Tater Hill is situated in a pastoral setting with rolling hills and undulating fairways. Moderate elevation changes provide plenty of challenge for low handicaps, yet the course is playable for all ability levels. Nature is a star attraction at Tater Hill with birdhouses, wetland areas, magnificent flower gardens and tree-lined fairways. The course has recently undergone significant capital improvements, with six newly designed greens that made their debut for the 2005 golf season, along with increased services and amenities for the members and guests.

ABOUT OKEMO MOUNTAIN VERMONT SKI RESORT

Rising above the village of Ludlow, in south-central Vermont, Okemo Mountain Resort is a four-season playground that built its reputation for quality and superior guest service as a winter retreat for skiers and snowboarders. Originally a small community-run ski hill, Okemo began to blossom when, in 1982, Tim and Diane Mueller purchased the ski area and transformed it into a popular, world-class resort destination. Skiing Vermont terrain at Okemo is quite the treat as its winter operations consistently receive accolades and win awards for snow quality, grooming, terrain parks, family programs, slopeside lodging, resort dining and its friendly, professional staff. Nordic Skiing & Snowshoeing at the Okemo Valley Nordic Center is conveniently located just one mile from Okemo. The Nordic trail network features 22 km of tracked and skate-groomed cross-country trails and 13 km of dedicated snowshoe trails. The Center offers a retail shop, cross-country ski and snowshoe rentals, demos, guided tours and lessons. The terrain is ideally suited for all ages and ability levels. The Nordic Center features a gracious clubhouse setting with fireplace, restaurant and lounge, meeting/conference space, locker rooms and showers.

A day of music to celebrate the life of the phenomenal singer, Sandra Wright, who touched us all with her music will be held at Jackson Gore on June 12. Final lineup to be announced soon; includes a special reunion across the miles of Soul Kitchen, the band who first appeared with Sandra in Ludlow 20 years ago, and The Sandra Wright Band from Burlington, VT, plus surprise guests. A one-hour version of the Broadway musical based on the books of Dr. Seuss, performed by Weston's talented Young Company of undergraduate musical theatre majors. The Cat in the Hat, Horton, Yertle the Turtle and other beloved characters come to life in a heart-warming story with an enchanting score by the team that wrote Ragtime. Performances will be held at the Weston Rod and Gun Club and on tour to surrounding communities.

8/28/2010 - 100 On 100 relay

WHAT IS THE 100on100 RELAY? The 100 on 100 Relay is a team based distance running experience. The event starts early in the morning and most participants finish between 8:30 PM-10:30 PM. The total distance is 100 miles and the course follows scenic route 100 the entire way. Our course displays all the angles Vermont has to offer from small towns and farms, to mountains and lakes. This event serves as a charity fundraiser for Vermont based youth charities that promote active and healthy lifestyles in support of self-esteem development.
