Stowe Vermont's 36-Hole Golf Resort Destination

Stowe Mountain Resort is the premier 36-hole golf destination in New England, offering two distinctive golfing experiences both on and off the mountain. From our historic Stowe Country Club to the brand new Stowe Mountain Golf Club, golf in the Green Mountains of Vermont just doesn't get any better.

Stowe Vermont Ski Resort

The Skiing Magazine Reader Awards has named Stowe the number one resort in the east for the 2009-2010 winter season!

Spruce Peak at Stowe, Stowe Mountain Resort’s new base-area development, has earned two distinct honors from Audubon International, a non-profit environmental organization headquartered in New York State: Spruce Peak at Stowe is the first mountain resort development in the United States to earn Audubon’s ‘Green Community Award’ and the first in Vermont to have its golf course designated as an Audubon ‘Signature Sanctuary.’

Members of Audubon International’s Sustainable Communities Program are eligible for the Green Community award, which recognizes environmental achievement and is a milestone en route to earning rigorous designation as a Certified Audubon Sustainable Community. Spruce Peak first joined the Sustainable Communities Program in early 2006, and is the first mountain resort in the nation to earn the award.

“The Spruce Peak at Stowe project is the result of many years of collaborative planning and coordination with many varied interests, including all of Vermont’s major environmental organizations,” said Robert Apple, the resort’s Planning Manager. “Now as the vision turns into reality we are proud to earn this award from Audubon International and look forward to a continued focus on sustainable development principles throughout the resort.”

STOWE MOUNTAIN RESORT'S 36 HOLES OF PREMIUM GOLF

Stowe Country Club The Stowe Country Club offers players a tour through the rich history of golf in Vermont . Located on a turn-of-the-century dairy farm, its clubhouse residing in the original brick farmhouse, this 6,200-yard layout will test the skill of any player.

The 360 degree views of the surrounding mountains, the long temperate summer days, and the feeling that everything is going your way makes each shot a memory to cherish.

This is also the home of the Vermont Golf Academy , which offers a variety of instructional sessions designed to polish every aspect of your game.

Stowe Mountain Golf Club This is the course that has caught the attention of the golfing world. Stowe Mountain Golf Club, recognized by Golf Magazine as one of the “Top 10 new courses you can play,” meanders along the slopes of Mount Mansfield and Spruce Peak , reaching an elevation of more than 1,800 feet.

It is this dramatic setting that has caused course designer Bob Cupp to remark, “Once every few decades, a spectacular sight for golf appears. Such is the case at the foot of Mount Mansfield in Vermont. There may be no finer collection of short par fours anywhere in America.”

Welcome to a golf experience as spectacular as its setting.

ABOUT STOWE MOUNTAIN VERMONT SKI RESORT

People: Our company culture focuses on respecting each other and our environment. Our aspirations encourage life-enhancing experiences and ensure the sustainability of our company. Combining these principles and goals gives us pride, purpose and opportunity.

As a group, we strive to make our resort a rewarding place to work. Individually, we aspire to communicate openly and often, supporting an environment of sensitivity and trust.

Sharing our passions and the mountain culture creates the energy to reach others in a meaningful way. Being a member of Stowe Mountain Resort provides each of us the opportunity to define who we are.

History: Our preeminent position in the resort industry is upheld by constantly striving to exceed the needs of skiers and snowboarders, while carefully protecting the natural heritage of our surroundings. Honoring this challenge has shaped the unique philosophy of our culture, community and company. This way of life has been handed down for generations.

Place: Mount Mansfield is both a protective barrier and a celebrated attribute of the Stowe community. Its distinctiveness and mass grant us an earthly sense of proportion. Our mountain evokes a spectrum of emotions from fear to bravery, awe to serenity, and spirituality to awareness of self.

Each of the trails at Stowe Mountain Resort offers a unique experience - hence "The Great 48." Because no two trails are alike, individualism and self-expression awaken within those who explore the mountain's character. The mythology and magnetism of Stowe are the inspiration that continues to bring the community at large to this special place.

Energy: The natural forces that exist on our mountain in Vermont are invigorating and powerful. To lift one's spirit by simply and silently looking around is inspiring. Making a dynamic connection with the natural world is momentous. Our energy is derived from our sense of place, passions and culture. This environment in which we live and work instills life-affirming values.
